The two of us

Brother and sister. One started it, the other made it bigger.

Alec

The classic car boy

Alec started Fund of Cars on his own at 18, in his first year at university in London. No budget and no contacts in the car world, so he cold-called clubs, messaged owners and talked Duke of London into lending their yard.

He has since worked on the commercial side of historic motorsport at Peter Auto, the organiser of Le Mans Classic, Tour Auto and Chantilly Arts & Elegance.

He's now doing a master's between Paris, Seoul and Berkeley, which is why Fund of Cars is about to travel.

Thelma

The supercar girl

Thelma joined once Alec had the show rolling, and made the Christmas edition her own: a Fiat 500 and an Alfa Romeo Giulia, loaded with £1,000 of presents for children being treated for cancer.

She's the reason Fund of Cars is more than one day a year.
